This I wanna be...

If I have a chance, I want to be the likes of the ff.

He seems to be a controversial son-of-a-gun today, but who cares? He has the guts and the mouth. and besides, he is one of my prototype when it comes to the world of Radio Announcing. and speaking with radio announcing, Here is the place that I would like to work at.

Nevermind that guy. I want to work in a place called "The DJ's Booth." I want to experience how do these wonderful people behind the radio do their job. How stressful it is, what kind of buttons they press, etc.

Or maybe, I want to be someone like

I could be one of the famous writers here in the phillipines or maybe, all over the world. I could write some grimm poems like Edgar Allan Poe...

...or maybe I can write an epic of me having a journey to hell and heaven just like Dante...

...or I could write some beautiful sonnets like what William Shakespeare did.

...Or why can't we just look at some good writers here in the phillipines. like This guy. you should know why.

What really happened last time?

Last Tuesday, we were surprised by the arrival of the Contestants of  Miss Earth 2011 contestants. Yes, you read it right, The Contestants of Miss Earth 2011 went to our school as part of our school's event that has got to do with nature caring.

I didn't brought my camera though so you will be expecting this blog to be picture-less. Pardon me for that...

But, Here are some of my reflections regarding what happened last tuesday.

These girls are beautiful and gorgeous. We got even insecure of how tall they are. For example, I got a chance to talk to one of the contestants. She was so tall that my height can only reach up to her tummy. Yep, that's how tall  She is.

Next is they tour around the campus. We didn't follow them though because we were busy having our early enrollment.

Lastly, They were able to participate in the rest of the activities that the our school has scheduled to do. We didn't watch it, though.

BOOO!!!

Next week marks the festivity of I don't even care what in the world are celebrating it in the first place: The Halloween. Many kids are going outside of their houses with their cute (but sometimes weird) costumes to receives candies from each of the houses after they shout the infamous phrase known as "TRICK OR TREAT!" And like other festivities, It also has some symbols that may reminds us that it is Halloween.

Halloween is not complete without any single trace of Jack-o-lanterns...

(Oh look! it's Mickey Mouse!)

...and Skeletons and Scarecrows

.
And like Christmas. Halloween is also celebrated around the world.

Invasion of Marvin the Martian, ARGH!!!!!!!

Nice smile, wait, Is that your teeth really?

The Headless Decapitator.

but of course, We Filipinos do celebrate this holiday...

Seriously, Every year the Halloween comes, it always gives me a chill. But other people celebrate it like it's Christmas day, so I'll just join in. Happy Halloween People. Mwahahahahaha

Love Letter of doom

Hey, it's almost end of the semester, this blog has been put to good use. From expressing my ideas to unload the crap out of me, this blog made my LRWS complete, and since this is my second-to-the-last post *sniff sniff. Here are some love letters that I like to share with you...

Dear Kris Aquino

I love it, I am enjoying the rest of the year without a single word coming from your mouth. If that silence could a lifetime... until I die.

Dear Merceditas Gutierrez

Four words: Where are you now? Four words again: I miss you now. One line: BLEAGH!!

Dear FMG

I am officially inviting you in a tea party, since that coffie's been expensive as of this moment, a corrupt owner of a casino house has spent 1 billion pesos just for that forsaken coffee.

Dear Pnoy

So far, I liked the way you govern your country. From Cranium Gloria Bashing, The elimination of the corrupted officials, up to the silence of your bratty little sister. Except for one thing: Your cough for god's sake!

Dear Friends,

Something is changing and i know it's all my fault... please bear with me, and please forgive me...

Dear Enemies,

Keep it up, and you will suffer

Dear MAJPG

welcome back to my life!!!

Du contrat social...

Or The Social Contract in english. written by one of the greatest philosopher I ever know, Jean-Jacques Rousseau. and That is where I got one of my favorite quotes...

"Man is born free, and everywhere he is in chains."

Philosophically, It means that one of a Person's nature is to be free. but before we even got out of our mother's womb, we are restricted by some force that halt our freedom. Basically, It pertains to the government; There must be equality between the sovereign (read: US.) and the government.

In Layman's term, Yes you are free, but there is law so... why bother?

You have the freedom to drive to the streets of Commonwealth avenue like hell, but there is a 60kph speed limit.

You want to land your fist of anger to your enemy whose mocking you for the longest time, but you cant, aside from that his face will turn into a smashed pumpkin if ever.

You want to be free but as long as there is laws, you cannot act according to your will.

Pardon for my blog, it is short I know.

State Of the Nation Address...

is like the state of the nation address last nine years ago when the great four-feeter (you should who am i talking about.) is speaking at the center of the camara de representantes: He is giving some fact and figures that I don't know if its true or not. But one thing is for sure, the Batasang Pambansa is surely jam-packed not only from the inside but also from the outside.

SONA is like a red-carpet premiere of a famous movie or a Grammy awards night. Imagine, these congressmen spent millions and millions of peso just to have a barong tagalog which is designed not by your ordinary Sastre, but by Rajo Laurel. The question is, from where do they get that kind of money? from their pockets or from OUR pockets?

SONA is like a grand reunion of all the activist here in the Philippines. rallying here, rallying there, rallying everywhere. I guess the Most Valuable Player of these group of angry anti-Noynoy people would be The Hacienda Luisita farmers. All they need is their land to be returned but for no reason or unknown reason rather, The president would not allow.

Enough with the glits and glamours and greases and dirt of the people. Let's focus on the SONA per se.

Fortunately, I obtain myself a copy of his speech and here's the link

http://www.coolbuster.net/2011/07/president-aquino-2011-state-of-nation.html

It's long enough for you to read that the next time you open your eyes, its already nighttime. now in the first place, why do I need to obtain this copy.

well, very simple.

I DIDN'T WATCH HIS SPEECH.

But according to an economist and also one of my idols, Winnie Monsod, and not verbatim "there is something that is missing on his speech." and somehow, I am one of the believers of what she said. Imagine.
He never acknowledge the real situation of our country. He didn't even mention some challenges that came during his administration: the hostage crisis in Quirino Grandstand, the... argh, it so many, i can't put it in my blog. Oh, I forgot how will the palace got to deal the silence of Krissy.

Also, in his speech, there are some words that he used for the Nth time, such as Wang-wang. Yes, the tyranny of those traffic violators using wang-wang is over ( I was amaze by using the street as a great metaphor for our society: On the left side you will see beggar sleeping under the over pass near the commonwealth market, On the right side you will see a rich kid driving fast with his Chevrolet Cruze. on the first lane there's a jeepney driver drivng smoothly for a living. On the other lane comes a Rich Kid racing with other cars and uses his unauthorized "wang-wang" just for him to reach to his destination fast. Die you rich kid.) but boy, you see there are no more "wang-wangs" and if ever, I will personally go down and say to that guy (in tagalog) "boss, bawal na po ang wang-wang ah?" I swear I will do it. come on PNoy, Enough of the wang-wang. It's over. It's okay if you do your Cranium Gloria Bashing. It just puts a big grin to my face.

But come to think of it.

What's SONA got to do with us Filipinos? How can you possibly deliver this speech full of facts and figures to a person who worries about what to eat today and tomorrow? How can a guy like the president of the Philippines be able to explain this to a beggar who sleeps under the overpass in lay man's term?

Well. I guess that it is one of our Filipino Values: and that is being "usisero". You know, we can't start another conversation without having a topic from outside source. but it's another blog for me.

P.S.

I bet to you my fellow citizens next year, It's still the same scenario that we will be seeing, Extravagant clothes of your Congressmen, Rally of these angry anti-noynoy people, etc.

the only difference?

Noynoy will be proud to announce that (in tagalog)

"AKO PO'Y NATUTUWANG IBALITA SA INYO NA KAMI NI SHALANI'Y NAGKABALIKAN NA AT MAGPAPAKASAL NA SA LALONG MADALING PANAHON." (standing ovation.)

PPS.

Noynoy still endures his cough. promise.

Filipino values that must be discussed for the sake of young readers like you.

We are not Filipinos (I capitalized the letter F because im proud of it.) if we don't know any single Filipino value. and as for you, young one, I should discuss to you some of Filipino values that has been existed in our culture.

one of which is Debt of Gratitude or in tagalog UTANG NA LOOB.

I guess that nothing is more painful that some tells you this...

"WALA KANG UTANG NA LOOB!"

this is not your ordinary debt like material debt or more common, monetary debt. take note, in tagalog, it has the word LOOB. in filipino psychology, it is the reflection on how we deal with other people. And, it is the only debt that doesn't need to be paid off.

We have a big Debt of Gratitude to our parents, because without them, we are not existing in this planet. and most of all,

We have a humongous debt of gratitude to our God, because without him, we are not alive and kicking.

but sometimes, this Debt of gratitude has somehow a negative effect on our society. like this:

--->

Merceditas Gutierrez (the one with a mole on her forehead.) has a very big debt of gratitude on Gloria Macapagal Arroyo (The one with a mole on her cheek.) as a result, Merci does NOT and I mean NOT persecuted GMA, although she made our country as one of the poorest country of them all.

oh no, here we go again, so for the sake of our common good,  enough of this ok? UTANG NA LOOB.

The second one is what we called Resignation, or in lay man's term "Bahala na." yep, you know when we don't know what we're going to do or you are just lazy to do it, you'll just say "Bahala na." On the positive side, it may show that we are putting the fate in god's hands. or we are just free-spirited people and we are putting our life in fate's hands.

It seems to be contrasting to the third and final value that we possess. and that is Hardwork. Being a hardworking person or being "masipag" is widely recognize internationally. That's why every where in the world there are OFW's.

now you might ask, why contrasting? I guess it would be self-explanatory...

Now my fellow youngsters, I guess that one or two of these values are in you, otherwise, aside from you are not speaking are mother language, what in the world are you doing here in our beloved country?

2 years and counting.

Many years gone by,
Everybody meets eye to eye.
Roaming each day with no reason to fly
Yet happily they are floating up the sky.
Living freely and enjoying life

Anticipating every tomorrow as they sleep
Nothing is more romantic for him to kiss his wife
Nor start another relationship to start and keep.

Just as they thought someone would break them
Or have the guts to kill one of them.
Years later they are still together
Caring and loving each other like an undying flame blazed by a burner
Every time he sees her face

God knows how miserable he is
Unknown to others that he is happy
But a wounded heart hides his smiling face
And until he dies, his grave is at bliss
Now and forever will he be her silent watcher and be with her for all eternity.

Dear Someone I never found for 2 years... and counting.

We started as mere strangers, enrolled in the same course and never thought that would be the first act of eternal love that god would do.

I don't expect that someone like you will be part of my life. I DON'T EVEN KNOW YOU...

But as day goes by, I am starting to realize how you're smile can complete my day. you're Chinese-looking eyes are so cute. without a doubt, I then realized

I AM STARTING TO LOVE YOU MISS MAJPG...

And since I am creating my new journal about regret, by the time that you are there, I forgot to put in my mind that.

"MATURITY IS FREE, BUT I INSIST TO BUY IT FOR A CENT."

The poem above is my letter of apology.

But why? Why would you make me suffer like this?

Even your closest friends, they don't know where you are?

But then again, Even my heart is tainted and bruise. I'll still wait for you to come back and see your face that would complete not only my life, but would complete my whole life that has been searching for its missing piece for 2 years.... and counting.

I Love... To Hate This People.

The first time I heard the term "Pet Peeves", we were like "what in the muggles' world is that?" then our teacher explains to us that it means that we are "love to hate someone or something" (irony eh?) With that, a lot of things entered in my mind and I want you, yes you, to know of my pet peeves.

yes, this girl. Who ever doesn't know this girl will be "ehem" out of her league. I mean, she is everywhere, billboards, tv, radio, newspapers and the net. And you know what? I HATE HER BECAUSE OF OVER-EXPOSURE. you dont what I mean? let me count it to you

    • Because of Twitter, anything, and I mean ANYTHING, that she do is posted on that website; A sign of ignorance of a rich human being.
    • She uttered one of the most god-i-dont-want-to-hear-that-sentence-again sentence. "Because sikat ako." Look, if you're popular and famous, then how about Piolo Pascual, Bea Alonzo, Vic Sotto, Joey De Leon, and the rest of the existing stars. They are just mere star who doesn't shine at all? Think again.
actually, I have a lot of things why I hate this girl. but I should not put it all up,  Because it will be entitled "I Hate You Kris Aquino." Kk?? shall we move forward?

A lot of friendships have been destroyed and decimated because of what we thought to be best friends are actually your worst enemy.

The nature of Dictatorship, though it has a some advantages in some political, economical and sociological policy. The fact that we cant even speak for ourselves is a big no no. That is why...

I sort of love AND hate this guy. Love this guy because he manage to be an economic friendly to some urban poor people. Imagine, a kilo of galunggong would cost 15 pesos by his time, unlike today, its is 9 times higher than before. and hate because by that time, he controls the mass media. Ergo, no freedom of speech. the people has no place for their voice to be heard, because once you went against the him, you will be persecuted against your innocent will. but now, thanks to our people. We, somehow, have our partial freedom. and this guy? Look at him now

as how would depict in his "Mount Rushmore Styled Face." His dictator wall was being demolished by the people who are longing for democracy.

and lastly...

these people, until now, they don't enact a proper law that would bring prosperity, wealth and discipline to our country. the session would end months from now and yet they are just done with one or two laws, and these laws are against the will of god: one of them is the controversial The Reproductive Health bill. WHY ON EARTH THEY WOULD DICTATE ABOUT THE NATURAL LAW OF HUMAN BEING? ARE THEY WANTING TO ENACT THIS LAW JUST TO FEED THEIR CARNAL DESIRE??? GOOD LORD, FORGIVE THEM, THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING....

sorry, I shared to you my anger to you. you know the topic right, love to hate. and i hate these peoples above. thanks for reading, now, what are your pet peeves?

I Hail These People!!!

not really, but...

To Idolize a person or saying that this people is a hero means that you adore this person because somehow, He or she has a major influence in your way of thinking, speaking and also changes your Idealism and Philosophy.

Speaking in Philosophy, since I was a former Philosophy student, we tackled lots of philosophers who lived in this planet. But there is a unique philosopher who really stand out and influenced me in my way of thinking.

(St. Thomas Aquinas)

And this is the one I am talking about. He is one of the guys who seeks the truth through the light of reasoning alone and through  the aid of all mighty god. Because some philosophers that we tackled, namely Existentialist, are atheist. and oh, also this guy.

( Dr. Jose Protacio Rizal Mercado y Alonzo Realonda)

Whoever does not know who he is, is not a true filipino. This guy has a brilliant way of thinking. He wants to free the Filipinos against  the clutches of the Spaniards through the use of Pen and Plume Revolution. Though I forgot to greet him a happy birthday, I will take this opportunity to greet him a Happy Happy 150th Birthday.

These guys are classic. But now that we are in 21st century, There some people who still influences me with their Ideology. Like this guy.

( Lourd De Veyra )

You may recognize him because he appeared in a particular liquor commercial. Now you may ask, why is he included in my list? Well, very simple, He can somehow, express and show the reality of this country in a lay man's term. He always acknowledges his viewers "tol", "tsong", "pare", etc. just like he and the viewers were like in a drinking session. What? You dont believe in me? Why dont you watch this?

and lastly, I would never exists in this world without my beloved parents. I think it would be self-explanatory... hehehe.

Friendship, Bow.

Friendship, based on wikipedia, is a form of interpersonal relationship generally considered to be closer than association, although there is a range of degrees of intimacy in both friendships and associations. and it gives you a lot values while while demonstrating it.

and did you know, that there is a lot of famous platonic couples existing here not in the philippines, but in the other countries.

Just like this couple, actually, they are not a platonic couple anymore, but an erotic one, in fact they are married for how many months now. as what princess Diana would say to her son, "marry your bestfriend". And that's what Prince William did. He married his girl bestfriend, Catherine Middleton or simply, Kate. This commoner wowed Prince William after He watched a fashion show in which Kate has participated and even me, I would say that She's beautiful with her outfit. That started their fairy tale wedding that has been witnessed by the whole world.

Buut some platonic couples didn't quite ended the good way.

Just like this guy,

and this guy

yep, they were best of friends before but the rift started when he sold his best friend to the senate, stating that the president himself gave him 400 billion pesos as his pay off and allege that the former president is "lord of all jueteng lords". that, I think, is an act of treachery. but that's my opinion.

and oh, also these guys..

hmmm, you dont them? It's Charles Xavier ( the bald one ) and Erik Lensherr (the sinister smile). also known as Professor X and Magneto. what? you still know them? just watch X-men first class, and you will know...

What? you dont have any friends yet? then let me introduce to you a friend that you can count on...

Yep, this guy, The current president of the Philippines. He is the guy you can count on. In fact, His friend were now the secretaries of each department. And if they got into trouble, he would just let you stay there and do their freaking job. What an epic guy...

Now, you may ask, What's the point of this?

Well, as what they would say, Friends are your siblings that fate forgot to give you. They should be valued because they value you too as their friends. These are your only people that you could share your darkest secrets. and everything that you could think of. Be thankful that you have a friend you can count on in good times and in bad times.
