To Idolize a person or saying that this people is a hero means that you adore this person because somehow, He or she has a major influence in your way of thinking, speaking and also changes your Idealism and Philosophy.
Speaking in Philosophy, since I was a former Philosophy student, we tackled lots of philosophers who lived in this planet. But there is a unique philosopher who really stand out and influenced me in my way of thinking.

And this is the one I am talking about. He is one of the guys who seeks the truth through the light of reasoning alone and through the aid of all mighty god. Because some philosophers that we tackled, namely Existentialist, are atheist. and oh, also this guy.

Whoever does not know who he is, is not a true filipino. This guy has a brilliant way of thinking. He wants to free the Filipinos against the clutches of the Spaniards through the use of Pen and Plume Revolution. You may recognize him because he appeared in a particular liquor commercial. Now you may ask, why is he included in my list? Well, very simple, He can somehow, express and show the reality of this country in a lay man's term. He always acknowledges his viewers "tol", "tsong", "pare", etc. just like he and the viewers were like in a drinking session. What? You dont believe in me? Why dont you watch this?
and lastly, I would never exists in this world without my beloved parents. I think it would be self-explanatory... hehehe.
